PETER R. DeMALLIE
Principal, President, & CEO
Capping ten years of full-time government service, in 1986 Mr. DeMallie left his
position as Director of Planning for the Town of South Windsor, Connecticut (pop.
25,000) to start Design Professionals, Inc., bringing with him invaluable knowledge of how
municipal government works. He has a master's degree in community planning from
the University of Rhode Island; has participated in over 700 night meetings as a
government official; has authored master plans, zoning and subdivision regulations;
and is experienced in urban, suburban and rural planning environments. As CEO and Founding Principal of Design Professionals, Inc., Mr. DeMallie has seen the firm grow to
its present size, now offering services in Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Rhode
Island. His planning and government service background has proved invaluable while
acting as a client representative for several hundred hearings before various town
and regulatory agencies. He served as the consulting Town Planner for Woodstock,
Connecticut from 1988 to 2004. |

GALEN B. SEMPREBON, P.E.
Principal, Executive Vice President, & COO
Mr. Semprebon earned his B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Connecticut. After holding senior engineering positions at leading engineering firms in Connecticut and Massachusetts, he joined Design Professionals, Inc. in 2000 as Director of Engineering and is responsible for civil engineering management of land development projects, from schools, healthcare facilities, industrial and office parks; to shopping centers, residential subdivisions, condominium and apartment projects; and streets, drainage systems, utility lines, and septic systems. Mr. Semprebon also has experience with roadway improvement projects, has dam and hydraulic stormwater studies experience, and performs regulatory reviews for municipal land use commissions in his capacity as a consulting town engineer. He used his background in traffic engineering to offer the service to Design Professionals, Inc. clients beginning in 2006. His technical background led him to teach AutoCAD/Land Development Desktop courses at the Capital Community Technical College in Hartford. Mr. Semprebon is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, a founding member of its Transportation and Development Institute and is a licensed engineer in Connecticut and Massachusetts. |

ANNE A. DeMALLIE
Comptroller & CFO
Ms. DeMallie holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of
Connecticut, and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Design (Urban Planning &
Landscape Architecture) from the University of Massachusetts. Since the inception of Design
Professionals, Inc. in 1986, she has held the position of Comptroller, where she
oversees financial, accounting and human resource functions. Prior to joining Design
Professionals, Inc. Ms. DeMallie was a Business Consultant with Profiles, Inc. and held
municipal planner positions with the Town of West Hartford, Quinebaug Valley Youth
Services Bureau, and the City of Cranston, Rhode Island. Ms. DeMallie has a varied
history of volunteer activities. She has been a member of the Vernon Inland Wetlands
Commission, a member of the Wood Memorial Library board of directors, and was
past president of the Vernon/Ellington Newcomers Club. |
