LAWRENCE R. GEISSLER, JR., L.S.
Director of Surveying
Mr. Geissler joined Design Professionals, Inc. in 2006 as Director of Surveying,
overseeing the company’s three field crews, office technicians, and GPS operations.
As one of southern New England’s most experienced land surveyors, he brings to the
company over 37 years of surveying experience and has worked on all types of
projects, including on-call surveying services for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service in
Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island since 1993, and the location of all
utilities for the entire city of Cranston, Rhode Island. Mr. Geissler and his department
utilize the latest technologies in surveying, including GPS and total station equipment,
to complete everything from topographic surveys to construction stake-outs.
Mr. Geissler is a member of the National Society of Professional Surveyors, a Board
Member of the Connecticut Association of Land Surveyors, and currently serves as
the Vice-Chairman of the Town of Vernon Conservation Commission. He is a
licensed surveyor in Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island. |

KAREN M. ISHERWOOD, P.E.
Project Manager
Ms. Isherwood is a graduate of the University of Connecticut, where she received her
B.S. in Civil Engineering. She joined Design Professionals, Inc. in 1997 and is currently
responsible for civil engineering management and design for a wide array of land
development projects. She supervises and trains the firm's project engineers and
technicians, consults with town officials and clients; and makes presentations before
municipal regulatory agencies, including zoning, planning, sewer, and wetland
commissions.
Ms. Isherwood is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers and is a
licensed professional engineer in Connecticut and Massachusetts. |

BENJAMIN P. WHEELER, RLA
Director of Operations
Mr. Wheeler studied Landscape Architecture at The Ohio State University, where he graduated with honors at the top of his class, receiving a B.S. in Landscape Architecture. Upon finishing, he received the Honor Award for Excellence in the Study of Landscape Architecture from the American Society of Landscape Architects, the highest national award granted to Landscape Architecture graduates. Mr. Wheeler is utilizing his knowledge of the industry and experience as a Project Manager to serve as our Director of Operations. In this position he oversees the company's daily functions, while coordinating projects from inception through completion. He is also involved in contract preparation, budgeting, marketing, network and CAD administration.
Mr. Wheeler is a licensed landscape architect in Connecticut and Ohio. He is also a member of the American Society of Landscape Architects and the Sigma Lambda Alpha Honor Society of Landscape Architects. |

STANLEY KRYLA , L.S.
Deputy Director of Surveying
As senior survey party chief and Deputy Director, Mr. Kryla is responsible for
the land survey collection of field data and land record research. He has over
25 years of experience dating to his time as a surveyor in Poland. Mr. Kryla
provides base mapping for boundary, utilities, wetlands, topographic, ALTA,
mortgage and as-built surveys, and construction “stake-out”. He also provides
GIS field data collection and GPS field location and surveys.
Mr. Kryla is a licensed surveyor in Connecticut and registered as a
Professional Surveyor in Poland. He is also a member of the Connecticut
Association of Land Surveyors. |
