ALDI Supermarket

DPI provided complete civil engineering, land planning, land surveying, and landscape architecture services for the new Aldi supermarket in South Windsor, Connecticut, located just a few miles from their New England Distribution facility.  The store is part of the upscale retail development known as The Gateway across Buckland Road from the Evergreen Walk lifestyle center, and directly adjacent to a Chase Bank branch and M&R Liquors flagship store, both also designed by DPI.  DPI worked with the traffic engineer on revisions to the Buckland Road intersection, including coordinating with their design of a complete traffic signal upgrade.  DPI secured all local regulatory approvals, in the process designing an extensive wetland mitigation area and conservation easement to the rear of the property.  The store opened for business in March 2021.
