CHOATE ROSEMARY HALL - WALLINGFORD, CONNECTICUT DPI has been on a design team providing land surveying, landscape architecture, and civil engineering services for this prestigous preparatory school, including the renovation of the Hill House entrance (shown here) and St. John Hall.TIMOTHY EDWARDS MIDDLE SCHOOL - SOUTH WINDSOR, CONNECTICUT Design Professionals provided civil engineering and land surveying services for this 215,199 square feet, $24.85 million school expansion project.CHERRY BROOK SCHOOL - CANTON, CONNECTICUT Design Professionals provided civil engineering and land surveying services for this school expansion project. Design work included layout, parking, engineered septic design, grading, access drives and recreational facilities.ROARING BROOK SCHOOL - AVON, CONNECTICUT Design Professionals prepared the engineered site development plans for this 31,400 square feet public school addition on an existing 20-acre tract that included ball fields, parking lots, access drives, sidewalks and utilities.
RETAIL / COMMERCIAL
ALDI DISTRIBUTION CENTER - SOUTH WINDSOR, CONNECTICUT DPI prepared boundary, topographic, utility surveys, easement and taking plans, and engineered site plans for this 490,000 SF distribution facility, including the reconstruction of nearly one mile of Rye Street and Sullivan Ave. (CT Route 194).DST OUTPUT - SOUTH WINDSOR, CONNECTICUT DPI completed land surveys and site development plans for all 3 phases of this 50-acre industrial campus, which contains a 300,000 SF high-tech printing plant and over 600 parking spaces. PARKSITE PLUNKETT-WEBSTER - SOUTH WINDSOR, CONNECTICUT For this 105,000 SF building products distribution center on a 18.53 acre site, DPI provided survey and civil engineering for the design, permitting and construction documents, including the widening of CT Route 194 (Sullivan Ave.). G&S SCRAP METAL - SOUTH WINDSOR, CONNECTICUT DPI provided land surveying, civil engineering, and landscape architecture services for this 42,000 SF metal processing facility.
INDUSTRIAL
STRAWBERRY FIELDS CONDOMINIUMS - SOUTH WINDSOR, CONNECTICUT DPI completed the land surveying and site engineering design for this 43-unit age-restricted condominium complex. The 15 acre site contains 12 multi-unit buildings and 40 acres of adjacent designated open space as a part of the project. DEMING HILL ESTATES - SOUTH WINDSOR, CONNECTICUT DPI designed this 114 lot upscale single-family residential subdivision on a 133 acre tract, replete with public water & sewer services, 1.50 miles of streets, stormwater detention basins, hiking trails, and 36 acres of open space.BIRCH MOUNTAIN - MANCHESTER, CONNECTICUT DPI completed land surveying, planning and site engineering for this 210-acre luxury residential community. The project included 169 residential lots, 60 acres of open space, extension of off-site utilities, and 2.25 miles of streets. BERRY PATCH - SOUTH WINDSOR, CONNECTICUT DPI provided land planning, boundary & topographic surveys, and civil engineering services for 194 age-restricted rental apartments in two separate phases for Metro Realty Group.
RESIDENTIAL
STILLMAN BUILDING – WETHERSFIELD, CONNECTICUT DPI provided civil engineering and landscape architectural services related to the restoration of the Francis Stillman Building, a former school within the Town’s Historic District. The 12,000 SF building was renovated to house the Board of Education.WENTWORTH PARK - SOUTH WINDSOR, CONNECTICUT DPI provided complete civil engineering, planning, land surveying and landscape architecture services for this Class A office condominium development. The two phases are comprised of 6 buildings and 21 units totaling 51,700 SF on the 4.25 acre site. CONSULTING ENGINEERING SERVICES - MIDDLETOWN, CONNECTICUT DPI prepared the boundary, topographic, utility surveys and engineered site development plans for CES' new corporate office building on Middle Street in Middletown. Approvals were also secured for two subsequent additions to the facility.TENNESSEE GAS PIPELINE CO. - ENFIELD, CONNECTICUT DPI provided boundary and topographical surveys and civil engineering services for the company's New England regional headquarters. The site includes a 14,000 SF office building and a helicopter landing pad.
OFFICE
ALDI FOOD STORE - MILFORD, MASSACHUSETTS DPI provided conceptual site planning, civil engineering, landscape architecture, and land surveying services, including construction stake-out, for this 18,000 SF grocery store. This was the first stand-alone Aldi store to open in Massachusetts.BELLTOWN SQUARE - EAST HAMPTON, CONNECTICUT DPI provided complete land surveying, civil engineering, land planning, and landscape architecture services for this development. Across Route 66 from Lake Pocotopaug, this 3.12 acre site is home to a CVS and a Savings Institute Bank & Trust.SAVINGS INSTITUTE PLAZA - SOUTH WINDSOR, CONNECTICUT DPI performed civil engineering, land surveying and landscape architecture services for a retail plaza located on Route 194 (Sullivan Ave.) for a bank and 1,260 sf of retail, including the widening of Route 194 to accommodate a new turn lane.THE MILL ON THE RIVER - SOUTH WINDSOR, CONNECTICUT DPI has completed various engineering and land surveying projects for the historic restaurant located on the Podunk River and Route 30, including several expansions of the facility and the pedestrian crossing and signaling across Route 30.
HOUSES OF WORSHIP
CHURCH OF THE LIVING GOD - SOUTH WINDSOR / MANCHESTER, CONNECTICUT DPI completed boundary, topographic, and as-built surveys, and received site plan approval in both towns for this church on Route 30. DPI also secured approvals for an expansion to a 1,200 seat sanctuary and parking for 486 vehicles.TEMPLE BETH HILLEL - SOUTH WINDSOR, CONNECTICUT DPI provided survey and engineered site plans for this 15,600 SF synagogue on Baker Lane. The building features a fieldstone exterior and sanctuary seating for 260 members of the congregation and their guests.FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH OF MANCHESTER - MANCHESTER, CONNECTICUT DPI provided survey, civil engineering and landscape architecture for the major renovation and expansion of the existing church from 14,000 SF to 46,000 SF of space, including parking areas designed to accommodate 404 cars.UNITY CHURCH OF HARTFORD - SOUTH WINDSOR, CONNECTICUT DPI provided surveying, civil engineering and landscape architecture for the 10,000 SF church on a 9.25-acre site with an on-site septic system. Storm drainage for the building, drive and the 108-car parking spaces utilize an infiltration system.
EDUCATIONAL
VETERANS MEMORIAL PARK - SOUTH WINDSOR, CONNECTICUT DPI was part of the design team for the $3.1 million renovation and expansion of the municipal pool at the 16.51 acre site. Services included civil design, permitting and construction documents for one of the largest pools in New England.FARMINGTON SPORTS ARENA - FARMINGTON, CONNECTICUT DPI provided survey, civil engineering and landscape architecture for this 130,000 S.F. indoor soccer facility. DPI also provided site plans & traffic engineering for four championship outdoor soccer fields (3 synthetic turf & 1 natural grass).STRATTON BROOK STATE PARK - SIMSBURY, CONNECTICUT DPI was engaged for the major redesign of this state park and swimming facility that included trails, picnic areas, beach, volleyball courts, vehicular access, and parking, becoming the first CT state park that is completely wheelchair accessible.NORTHWEST PARK - MANCHESTER, CONNECTICUT DPI prepared civil engineering drawings for the recreational facilities that include two baseball fields, tennis courts, a boathouse with a boat launch and floating dock, sand volleyball, horseshoes, playscape, parking, picnic area, and walking trails.
PARKS & RECREATION
SOUTH WINDSOR LIBRARY - SOUTH WINDSOR, CONNECTICUT DPI completed property surveys and served on the design team to prepare the civil engineering plans for this 20,500 sq. ft. municipal library expansion adjacent to the South Windsor Town Hall. MONOMOY ISLAND NATIONAL WILDLIFE REFUGE - CAPE COD, MASSACHUSETTS DPI was responsible for the coordination and setting of control points for the topographical mapping of this refuge, which stretches across 8 miles of islands at the 'elbow' of Cape Cod.U.S. POSTAL SERVICE - MONROE, CONNECTICUT DPI provided site civil engineering drawings and construction documents for the new 28,000 SF regional post office facility in Monroe, which was built to better serve the Greater Bridgeport area. SOUTH WINDSOR POLICE HEADQUARTERS - SOUTH WINDSOR, CONNECTICUT DPI served on the design team to assist the Town of South Windsor with a feasibility study for their police facility. Subsequently, DPI provided boundary and topographical surveys and site design services for the site modifications.
