For the second year in a row, Design Professionals Inc. has donated $10,000.00 to Midwest Food Bank New England (MFBNE), in order to move the needle on hunger in Connecticut and Western Massachusetts, where 1 in 8 people are food insecure. MFBNE, a volunteer-centric 501c3 nonprofit, is able to leverage this donation to distribute, for free, $300,000.00 worth of food to participating nonprofit partners (a 30:1 multiplier). Since opening its 55,000 square foot Manchester warehouse in November 2021, the MFBNE has grown exponentially. With a base of over 1,000 volunteers, and now 120 nonprofit partners, in 2022 alone the organization distributed $13.4 million worth of food, with monthly distribution now exceeding 300 tons.
