Peter DeMallie receives Lifetime Achievement Award in Tourism

DPI's President & CEO, Peter DeMallie, received the Central Regional Tourism District's Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2024 CRTD Annual Meeting held on June 24 at the Wadsworth Mansion in Middletown, Connecticut. This award was bestowed to Mr. DeMallie to honor his lifetime of commitment to the state's tourism industry, in which he has served as Chairman of the CRTD, Chairman of the Greater Hartford Tourism District, as well as Chairman of the East-of-the-River Tourism District. He was previously recognized as the Governor's 2015 Volunteer of the Year, and as the 2014 Connecticut Tourism Volunteer of the Year. The South Windsor district representative since the tourism districts were established by the legislature in the early 1980s, Peter is presently serving in the capacity of CRTD's 1st Vice Chairman. The district contains hundreds of attractions and accommodations encompassing 65 communities including Hartford and New Haven. Congratulations, Peter!
